The Crystal Mountains

Arda Awakened
Sealing the Earth God

The wardens peered over the ravine and saw mages working on a large floating orb of rock. Making their way into the ravine, the wardens dispatched Lockheart’s guards and freed Toluf MacTor. He revealed that the orb was Arda’s own heart, the centre of the vicious sandstorm. Using her elemental ring of Air, Helga managed to tame the heart and it shrunk to the size of a fist. Colton grabbed the heart and the crew entered the nearby cavern to confront Elias Lockheart. Lockheart appeared, mocking The Wardens for being too late to stop him/Arda, but they fought and killed him nonetheless, after he died they also dispatched the shocking brain monster that crawled out of his skull and appeared to have been controlling Lockheart. Lockheart dispatched, Colton finally recovered the Elemental Ring of earth and the Wardens were officially reunited. They raced deeper underground where they encountered a weakened Arda, still forming herself together from sand flowing through a portal in the back of the room. After a vicious battle, the Wardens managed to close the portal and defeat what was left of Arda in this realm. Arda was once again sealed away… for now.

A trick of the mind

The Wardens fought their way through the pyramid to defeat the evil Lamia who had taken up residence there. Defeated, the lamia’s magic faded and the illusion of beauty faded, revealing the pyramid to be rotten and crumbling. Upon looting the lamia’s hoard, the Wardens discovered a crystal shard and a scrying pool Elora used to see Elias Lockheart deep in the desert with the kidnapped Toluf MacTor. The Wardens set off into the desert, finding Filik Grimm along the way, and finally making it to the site of Arda’s shattering, where Lockheart was actively working to summon her back into the world.

Entering the desert
mysterious disappearances

The Wardens came to the The Sheltered Village and secured camels to travel into the desert after winning a camel race. During the race the group stumbled across a mysterious hooded figure who paralyzed Colton with a look before darting away. The Wardens learned that people had been wandering off into the desert and sandstorms in the middle of the night, including Bart Thisswhistle’s father Bryn Thisswhistle.

In the middle of the night, a mysterious force caused Elora to wander out into the sandstorm, sleepwalking, only waking up after being slapped. In the sandstorm, Colton’s sharp eyes notices a mysterious dome of invisible force. Upon investigating, the Wardens discovered an injured Thri-Kreen. They helped him kill the corrupted queen of his colony and restore order. The insectoid creatures gave the Wardens a large crystalline force field projector cocoon, that would protect them from the sandstorm.

Exploring the dessert the Wardens discovered a gargantuan petrified snake, and a caravan of camels that had been attacked. They followed tracks to find a pack of Jackalweres that they followed back to a large pyramid in the middle of the desert.

The Beginning
The Refounding of The Wardens

The Adventure began with Davidoff Thorvaldsen and Helga MacDeepThorn travelling to Orodonto. There they met Colton Walker and Elora Swiftfists, in the midst of distracting and pickpocketing a crowd.

New in town, the dwarves asked after someone who might know more about Davidoff’s ring. They learned they would need to earn tokens to get to the upper city’s Magic Shop to learn more about the ring.

On the docks, they met a cartographer Tik-Tuk, who said his stall had been thrashed by goons staying at the nearby inn. After a long journey, the group was looking for an inn, so they rented a few rooms and dealt with the thugs, earning themselves a map from Mik-Tuk.

In the middle of the night, Elora and Colton investigated a ship on the docks that was unloading a mysterious, sandy cargo and delivering it to the upper city. After dispatching the ship’s guard they found a shipment order form Elias Lockheart.

After helping a few citizens, the group earned entry into the upper city, where the discovered a ring just like the one Davidoff brought into town had just been stolen from the Temple of the Wardens.

Upon following the cargo carts, the crew discovered a secret passage that led into Lockheart Manor, and discovered that he was trying to "reform Arda’ and that a Dwarf in the Sheltered village would know where to go.

Following up at the temple of the Wardens, the crew learned that Davidoff’s ring was one of the Elemental Rings used to seal away the The Elemental Lords. The four took up the remaining two rings, and set out to track down Elias Lockheart and the final ring. Beginning the reformation of The Wardens.
